  1. I have loved your wonderful site for several years now, and have found it a great resource for those supernatural, gothic, symbolist or weird works that I did not already know of! Truly appreciate what you have done with this literature.

The accompanying art always enhanced your site above many others, and seeing your choices has been a particular pleasure.

It’s been a while since you’ve posted; would love an update on your readings, travels, what-have-you!

    Many thanks,

    • Thank you very much for the kind comment, among the very nicest I’ve received. This site will probably lie dormant for some time longer. In the future I can foresee adding to it again, but as for now, I have a little too much going on and the same old poor time management I’ve always possessed. I have written a poetry collection which is in need of editing, I am working on an album with a band that formed early this year, and still have to collect wages to pay rent! I’ve read a few things I could have reviewed but the fire was not there. (Michel de Ghelderode’s “Spells” from Wakefield press, is one of these, fyi). I got sucked into the narcotic vortex of poetry, and am still whirling around in it, banging into things, although I did just read a novel and some comics in the last few weeks. I appreciate your coming to this site over the last few years. I hope you will stay subscribed, or whatever other method you have of checking in, but would honestly advise not to expect much for a good awhile. I can’t believe the last I posted was August of last year.

It is possible that this comment will spur me to make short little posts in the meantime, before a full revival, and they would likely contain art and music and quotations from things I’ve been reading. The sort of stuff more suitable for tumblr, but I don’t feel like packing up the wordpress ship for the foreseeable future.

      Anyway, thanks again.

  2. Dear Sirbaronearwig,

Thanks for your update. I recently read Ghelderode’s Spells also, would be most interested to see what you think of it, even in a mini-post. But please take care of your life and know that you have fans who will appreciate your work here whenever you turn back to this site!

    Best,

  3. Hi, I would just like to second Gnosticangel’s comment and say I really enjoy your blog; it’s really hard to find a lot written on this kind of fiction, or at least so well written as yours. I’ve been checking back for an update sporadically, so it’s nice to see your reasons for absence are positive. Take care.
